North Metro Honor Jazz Band Program - 2020

Applications are now closed for the 2020 North Metro Honor Jazz Band Program.

Check back soon for our 2021 season.

The following information is from the 2020 season.

We're excited to announce a North Metro Honor Jazz Band Program starting on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. This band is open to all musicians high school age or younger in the greater Twin Cities area. The instrumentation will be that of a traditional jazz big band - saxophones (alto, tenor, bari), trombones, trumpets, piano, bass, drums, and guitar. The band will rehearse each Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 PM for 9 weeks starting March 17 at Spring Lake Park High School, play one concert, and record a CD in a professional studio.

Application - While it is open to students from all over the Twin Cities area, the intent of this band is to offer musicians in the North and West Metro areas a convenient opportunity to meet musicians from other schools, rehearse together, perform and produce a CD. Students can apply by filling out and mailing or emailing an application. You may also download a brochure for further information.
